Friday's Five 2014 Resolutions

How often do we really keep our resolutions? To be honest, I don't even remember last year's resolution... but then again, 2013 went by in a blur.

I'm keeping my resolution list short and much more achievable than before.

1. Be a better person.
In the last few months, I've had a lot of time to reflect on my character and despite what people tell me, I feel the need to change. I think I'm a horrible person and a horrible friend to those around me. If all other resolutions failed in 2014, by December 2014, I hope I can look back and see a lot of self improvements.

2. Pay off my Visa.
This is extremely embarrassing to admit but I've still got debt from 2012's holidays. It sickens me that I spent more than I can pay off, BUT in my defence, I did have a financial plan to pay it off but my old work place decided to cut back my hours drastically and forcing me to find a new job with better hours which hindered my progress in paying off my debt.

Also, don't forget I'm a fulltime student and a part time worker so getting money isn't easy for me. So far, I've made a financial plan and all paychecks have been dedicated towards my Visa and less on myself. It's a sacrifice to give up a few nights of going out, but it's better to get myself out of debt earlier than to continue digging myself further.
3. Share my struggles.
If you read my Thursday post below, you'll understand what I mean. It's going to be a struggle but I'm willing to get past my struggles.
4. Stop procrastinating being lazy.
I can't stop procrastinating but I can stop being lazy. I need to be more productive in terms of how I dedicate my hours towards my school/blogging and with my friends. I say no a lot because I prefer my bed over heading out. I'm trying to fix that and spend more quality time with people I love than spending it alone. I also have heaps of laundry to do but just... too lazy.
 5. Be healthier.
I'm not going to the gym - they intimidate me a lot, even if I have friends there. However, I will start cutting out junk food and feeding myself healthier foods. I'm also looking into at-home work outs and yoga.

  1. Girl, I'm with you on numbers 4 and 5. It's funny because I was supposed to go the gym after work today but you're right, it can be a little intimidating,I think my at-home workout will suffice lol. And it's cool that you're being so responsible in terms of paying off your visa, good luck :)
